The ELEMENT is a self contained pressure regulating unit available with or without stop-valve facility. It can be fitted in any J.D. Fires’ hydrant valve body to produce a pressure regulating valve (subject to pressure rating). Such valve is thus available in all hydrant valve configurations and with a wide variety of inlet/outlet options. Design code BS5041 part 1 Standard construction GUNMETAL. An ELEMENT without stop-valve facility can be used to regulate outlet pressure in special twin outlet headers or manifolds.

For connection to a high pressure supply (generally up to 20 barg) to provide a constant reduced outlet pressure (set in situ) for fire-fighting. Design code: BS5041 Part 1.
